Management:
Skaar Construction was organized in 1980 by Bud and Evelyn Skaar. Since then SCI has been licensed in 8 western states. The Skaars followed the need for top quality water storage, primarily in the design of prestressed concrete reservoirs. In 1995 Bud and Evelyn retired allowing Layne, their son, to take over the business. He has strived to maintain and improve the quality of work that is needed for successful projects.
SCI is a full service General Contractor. Our Management team consists of Superintendents, Project Managers, and office personnel. All these individuals work closely together to make projects run safe, smooth, and efficient. SCI is capable of bonding projects over 40 million dollars, which gives added assurance that you have a qualified contractor on board for your project.
Safety:
SCI continuously strives to improve our safety program. In a full time inspection on our Cedar Water Treatment Facility by WISHA, SCI received the first of its kind VPP Award (Voluntary Protection Program) on a construction site. We will continue to build on our safety practices to ensure that all of our employees have the right equipment and knowledge to work safely and to minimize the exposure to hazards on our projects.
